Guidelines for poster presentation

The following guidelines have been drawn up as a result of experience gained during many previous congresses. We hope that they will be of help to you when you prepare your presentation. Also available as downloadable PDF.

Poster Sessions

Poster sessions will be held on Monday 8 October and Tuesday 9 October between
13.00 – 15.00 hours.

Poster presenters on Monday 8 October
Posters for the poster session on Monday 8 October should be set up on Sunday 7 October between from 16.00 – 18.00 hours, the posters need to be dismantled on Monday 8 October between 17.30 – 18.00 hours.

• Clinical toxicity (P 1 - 33)
• Developmental toxicity (D 1-31)
• Ecotoxicology (E 1-25)
• Exposure, toxicokinetics and quantitative risk assessment (Q 1- 27)
• Food safety (F 1-46)
• Genetic toxicity and carcinogenicity (G 1 – 34)
• Signal transduction, Oxidative stress and cell death (S 1-32)
• Target organ toxicity (incl Immunotoxicity) (I 1-34)

Poster presenters on Tuesday 9 October
Posters for the poster session on Tuesday 9 October should be set up on Monday 8 October between 18.00 – 19.00 hours or Tuesday between 08.00 – 09.00 hours. The posters need to be dismantled on Wednesday 9 October after 13.00 hours.

Presenters or co-authors are strongly advised to be present at their posters on the times indicated above.

• Occupational and environmental health (O 1- 40)
• Toxicity screening and (alternative) tests (T 1-67)

Poster Boards

The available poster boards have the following measurements:
Size of poster board: 147 cm wide x 97 cm high (landscape)
Size of usable area: 140 cm wide x 90 cm high

Title Banner

If possible, you should prepare a title banner to go across the top of your presentation.
The title banner should at least have a width of 100 cm and should state:
- The title of the presentation
- The name(s) and affiliation(s) of the author(s)

Mounting Materials

The organisation will bring mounting materials such as tape, thumbtacks, pins, glue etc.

When designing your poster please provide clear and concise data and LARGE PRINT that is legible from a distance of at least 1.5 meters.
